Dangerous or not? A Cytec Industries, an international chemical company based in Wallingford, Connecticut will pay a civil penalty of $155,000 and spend $150,000 for violating the federal Clean Air Act. I think this is so wrong because they are just doing this to save money the EPA detected a very dangerous gas that could hurt the ozone layer. This gas could have injured workers and civilians. I think that the punishment that they are getting is good because they probably would’t want to do this again.

  1. Yes it's great that the government is coming down hard on Industries that are not creating efficient chemical plants. Great post.

  2. I agree with you. Industries such as this one should have the health and safety of their workers, community, and even their own planet in mind over money. It just shows that money is all that some people can think about. It's almost sad. Why would a company want to do something harmful like this?
