PLN 10

This month U.S. president won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize for giving hope to the people worldwide, by being more involved in facing the world’s challenges today such as the control over nuclear weapons worldwide and making more people aware of our climate changes. In my opinion he does not deserve this award because he is just doing his job as a president. This award can help him by making him a better leader to take the United States further; I like how he reacted to this by just taking it as an award and concentrating on his real duties as a president. Finally I think that the president should just do what he has been doing because he is doing great.

  1. I agree with you. The President himself had doubts whether in indeed he deserved the award. His contributions so far haven't been too extreme. I believe that he won the award because of what he broke through to become the first African American President of the United States.

  2. I agree with Dan. The most impact that he has made would be to give the African American people hope. They should no longer feel like they are seen as slaves. They are now be seen as leaders world wide, just live everyone else. It took many years to change the views of society, but now Obama has done that. And many people are very proud of him. I agree with you in the sense that he has done several things, but those should be done as the duties of the president anyways. Maybe it's true that the award should have gone to someone else, but who are we to judge? This man gets many death threats every day. Maybe he is doing more than we realize. But I do agree with you when you say he is doing a wonderful job!!
